The RazorKeep Story
In the Winter of 2017 I began a journey to solve my own problem regarding the high cost and short life of my high end muti-blade razor. I knew that If I could find a way to extend the life of my razor without compromising the shave quality then I might also help others do the same.
Thanks to Google and YouTube I was able to begin researching solutions to this widespread frustration. I found several DIY solutions and after much trail and error I took the best of each method that I discovered and developed a process as well as a system that worked with my razor and shaving process. Because my system is all about maintaining or keeping your razor clean, dry, and honed as opposed to trying to refurbish it I decided that the best brand name for this new product would be RazorKeep.
I discovered that the two main reasons for a blade to deteriorate and loose their edge was because grime and moisture. The RazorKeep efficiently deals with both. The brush removes large impediments and the honing pad cleans the rest. My custom formulated spray coats, and protects from oxidation that moisture causes as well as disinfecting the blade. Then my custom canister stores your razor in a manner that allows it to stay dry.
After going through University of Louisville’s 10 week LaunchIt curriculum I have developed my MVP (minimum viable product) and way to produce them (at least on a small scale). My plan is to get some traction by selling my MVP direct to the consumer via my website and other digital media outlets and then scale up to eventually mass produce a new canister design that I am working on. With my over 30 years of marketing experience I am confident that I can build the RazorKeep brand using digital inbound marketing methods and strategies.
And last but most important is the cause I have chosen for the RazorKeep brand. 10% of all profits will go towards KEEPING people out of Human Trafficking. I have vetted and chosen a hand full of very impactful ministries that will receive our support in this regard. This cause is dear to my heart as I have 2 daughters. I also believe that God’s heart breaks when His daughters are subjected to such a life.
